  • 4 lb Chicken breast
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 cup Chicken broth


  • Season the chicken breast with Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  • Place the chicken into the instant pot (without trivet), then pour the chicken broth around the sides of the chicken.
  • Close the lid and select the "Manual" or Pressure Cookie setting from the menu.
  • Then set the time for cooking for 10 minutes.
  • Let the pressure naturally release for 10 minutes, then do a quick release.
  • Unplug the pressure cooker, drain half of the chicken broth and use two forks to shred the chicken.
  • Transfer the shredded chicken to an airtight container and store it in the fridge until ready to use it.
